On October 11, 2023, the Avon Lake Shoregals Soccer Team (13-1-3, 6-0-1 in the SWC) defeated the Avon Eagles (9-6-2, 6-1-0) by a score of 3-2 to claim the Southwestern Conference Crown. The Shoregals shared the SWC title last year we the Eagles, making this a second conference title in a row.
This win continues the Shoregals championship run over the past three years. In 2022 the Shoregals boasted a record of 15-2-3 and were SWC and Division 1 Sectional Champions. In 2021, the Shoregals went 21-1-1 and were Division 1 District Champions and Regional Finalists. On Octo... [more]
